How To Unlock Flagged Blogger Blogs

Locked Blog Image
People are getting serious about blogging these days. And just to begin, most of them start with blogger/blogspot. But few times people make blogs for spamming purposes only. And as a result, their blog is flagged as spam blogs. This is fair if you are spamming, but if you are not, then?

Blogger has few strict policies, not so hard to follow, but must be followed. Blogspot guys can lock your blog anytime if your blog has spamming content, malware posing possible threats or anything against their TOS. Even if few people flag your blog and reporting it abuse to Blogger using navbar of your blog, your blog will be flagged. Personally speaking, few of my regular blogs faced these kinda situations and this hurts. Blogger locks your blog without reviewing it, and all you can do is plead before them to unlock your blog. But here, I have an idea to get back your spam flagged blogger blog, even if blogspot never unlocks that.

Lets start with an example. Suppose your blog 123.blogspot.com got locked. Now the first think I would advice you to do is “Don’t panic“. Your blog is locked, but has not been deleted. All your posts, comments, data, everything is safe. During this locked period, you can do everything, but just can’t post new posts or edit your previous posts. You will get a notification like below :
Request Unlock Review

The notice reads like this : “This blog has been locked due to possible Blogger Terms of Service violations. You may not publish new posts until your blog is reviewed and unlocked.
This blog will be deleted within 20 days unless you request a review.” After getting such notifications, simply click on “Request Unlock Review” and let them know that they locked your blog for wrong reasons. So, they better check this again and unlock your blog as soon as possible.

Locked
But you never know if they are going to unlock your blog. But the statistics say that the success rate is above 70%. So, there is a good chance that the blogger team will unlock your blog within few days. Typically they unlock blogs within 2-3 days. So, be patient. Now, if they don’t unlock your blog, what will you do? If they don’t unlock your blog within 20 days, your blog will get deleted and you will loose all your posts, comments and hard work. I know, it hurts. So, lets follow some steps, which will save all your blog contents even if you never get back your blog. Read carefully…
How To Unlock Flagged Blogger Blogs

You are done now. All your blog contents are intact and even on the same blogspot domain. This won’t even affect your PR, backlinks etc, because you are still having the same contents as well as the same domain with you.
This thing is possible because Blogger team locks a blog’s blog ID no, not the domain. An unique ID no is given to all blogs automatically. You can get your ID no, when you are on the control panel of your blog. When creating new post, just look at the address bar of your browser. It should look like : http://blogger.com/blog-options-basic.g?blogID=XXXXXXXXXXXX
Blogs
Blog URI is what matters to us, not the ID, right? So, you can always get back your blogger locked blogs, but I do not promote to post malicious or spam posts neither encourage you to violate Blogger’s TOS. This post is for those innocent bloggers, who suffer for nothing. But it would be a wise idea to always take the back up of your main blogs. Either export them and keep on your desktop or use the backup on any of your dummy domains.
