1968
Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce found Intel. Intel's computer chips go on to leading in the era of the personal computer. The PC's impact on education leads to a shift to the age of information that is still being experienced today. Robert Dennard creates Random Access Memory (RAM) that allows computers to store and manipulate memory. The Microchip is Invented
1959 by Robert Noyce and Jack Kilby
Jack Kilby of Texas Instruments and Robert Noyce of Fairchild Semicondoctor Systems are co-credited with creating the microchip. They both built on their work with integrated circuits to create and miniaturize the number of ICs that could be placed on a single chip.
